The opportunity

Help families get financially protected. Build a business while you do it.

Office towers rising against an overcast skyWealthMind
Build something bigger than a job.Training, mentorship, and a path to leading your own team.

WealthMind is a team of licensed financial professionals. We help individuals, families, and business owners with life insurance, income protection, tax-advantaged growth, retirement, and legacy planning, and we train new agents to do the same.

You choose your hours, the people you serve, and how far you want to take it. Some agents keep this as a side business. Others build it into a full-time agency with a team of their own. You're paid commission on the business you write, so your income depends on your effort and results.

Is it right for you?

This isn't a salaried job. Know the difference before you start.

Running your own licensed business works well for a lot of people, but not for everyone. If you want guaranteed hours and a weekly paycheck, a W-2 job is the better fit. If you want independence and no ceiling, keep reading.

What to expect

What to expect

What the work looks like

Earn commission on what you place

You're paid on the policies and accounts you help clients put in place. There's no salary. Commission levels rise as you gain licenses, experience, and production.

Get your state license

You'll complete a pre-licensing course and pass your state's life insurance exam. We walk you through every step, from course sign-up to fingerprinting and your exam date.

Cover your startup costs

There are upfront costs for your membership, licensing course, exam, and background check. We go over the exact current amounts on your intro call, before you commit to anything.

Train in the field

You won't be left alone with a script. You'll sit in on real client appointments with an experienced agent until you're ready to lead your own.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is this a job or a business?

It's a business. You join as a 1099 independent contractor, not an employee. You set your own schedule and receive a 1099 tax form instead of a W-2.

Do I need experience in finance or sales?

No. Many of our agents came from teaching, healthcare, the military, retail, and tech. We teach the products, the conversations, and the business side.

How do I get paid?

You earn commission on the products you help clients put in place. There is no salary or hourly pay. What you earn depends on your effort, skill, and results, and no level of income is guaranteed.

Are there costs to get started?

Yes. Expect a membership fee, a pre-licensing course, a state exam fee, and fingerprinting or a background check. We'll give you the current amounts for your state on your intro call, before you sign anything.

How long does it take to get licensed?

It depends on your state and how much time you put into studying. Many people finish their course and exam in a few weeks while working another job.

Can I do this part-time?

Yes. Most people start part-time, often evenings and weekends, and decide later whether to go full-time.

Do I have to sell to friends and family?

You'll start by sharing what you're learning with people you know, because it's the easiest place to practice. You'll also learn how to meet new clients through referrals and community events.

Can I work from anywhere in the U.S.?

You need a license in your home state, and you can add licenses in other states as you grow. Ask us about your state on your intro call.
